Custom Auto Contest

Contestant is mainly recommended by any auto customization shop or car club.
(Every club is allowed to recommend 5 to 10 customized cars.) More information
is as followed:

  1. When submitting, each contestant should fill in the application form carefully, and agree to follow all the rules and regulations of the contest.

  2. The name of the auto customization shop or car club that issues recommendation is required. What is also required includes a brief introduction, four photos of the customized car (taken from front, back, side, and inside. Each should be provided as a JPEG file, .jpg, and should be less than 500KB.), and also an exposition of about 150 words. The judging committee will file the photos and the e-versioned documentation.
  3. please note:

    • The customized car should show the lifestyle of Wholesomeness, Individuality, Self-confidence, and Happiness.
    • The decoration and customization should measure up to the national safety standards. Under that condition, the limits of customization are not restricted.
    • All the award winning participants and their customized cars are able to take part in this year’s other contests directly.
    • The organizing committee will have the right to use the documentation of all the customized cars for free in a time span of one year.

Judging:

  1. This judging committee will compare and judge from the following five aspects of each customized auto: Power, Audio, Outdoor, Exterior and Overall.
  2. The contest is divided into two parts: the Preliminary and the Final. In the preliminary, the judging committee will compare and select contestants that are qualified to go to the final in three rounds of elimination. The decisions are made according to the photos, introduction and exposition submitted by the auto customization shop or car club, as well as the data based on the real performance and the original price of the customized car. In this part, the judging committee will be fair and objective to assess the value of each contestant.
  3. The final will be held as an on-site contest at the 10th China International Custom Auto Expo from March 12-14 in 2010. At that time, 50 awards in five categories will be issued, including Best Power, Best Exterior Design, Best Audio, Best Outdoor Performance and Best Overall. The judging committee will make decisions based on the assessment from six aspects, which are exterior design, comfort (passengers), craft, flexibility (driving), emission and fuel economy.

    • Exterior Design: Creativity matters. The judging committee will evaluate the customization of the exterior, spray-painting, engine case, chassis, and hub.
    • Vehicle Ride Comfort: Be comfortable. The live audience will be invited to join the judging committee in this session. They will judge from mainly four aspects, including seats, car audio, air conditioning, and interior design.
    • The Craft of Customization: In this session, the judging committee will pay special attention to the performance of the customized cars. Whether the customization is reasonable and whether the customized car is balanced will affect the judging.
    • Flexibility (Driving): This session is designed by the judging committee to test that besides an impressive performance, the customized car must also possess certain practicability. In this session, the customized car will be evaluated in aspects such as coordination of the whole car and comfort of the steering wheel and the driver’s seat while driving, and also windscreen wiper, sound insulation in the car, brake plate, clutch, and etc.
    • Emission: In order to abide the law as well as carry out what the government has been promoting, car emission becomes the main issue. The emission out testing method will be employed at this session.
    • Fuel Economy: At present, fuel economy is a hot topic in car industry. In this session, the fuel consumption of each customized car will be measured by driving 500km at the average speed of 80kn/h.

Please note:
All the customized cars that are qualified to enter for the final are required to show up (March 12-14, 2010) and park at the designated places that are assigned by the organizing committee of this contest. Those participants who leave without good reasons and who refuse to show up will be seen as a voluntary withdrawal from the contest, and will be required to compensate the organizing committee of the contest for all the expenses on the publicity of their customized cars.
